My name is Malina and I am a loser. I was born at a very young age, and have since grown into a teenage dirtbag, baby. My dirtbag interests include comics books and sci-fi shows and literature and music (indie, punk, psychobilly, etc.) and great thinkers and making the world a better place. I am a 1950s kind of gal, but only when I can forget that I would've had to drink from a colored water fountain. There is nothing I believe in but fantasy and outer space. To sum it up, I'm essentially a real-life Poison Ivy, except for the homicidal mania and the finesse.

James Dean as Caleb “Cal” Trask in the 1955 film adaptation of East of Eden. We would also do James Dean, but that’s a story for another time.
Cal Trask, the son of Adam Trask and the malevolent cathy Ames, is a symbol of Cain (of the Biblical story of Cain and Abel). Adam shows blatant favoritism to Cal’s brother, Aron (symbol of Abel), which makes Cal, like, totally a tortured soul. Although lacking in the purity that Aron, an aspiring priest, has, Cal is clever and eventually does the right thing. Plus, Abra is a babe.
Why we would do Cal Trask:
Aron is originally with Abra, and then he decides to pursue the priesthood and then he gets killed in the war.So clearly, Aron is unavailable.
He’s got that whole “brooding loner who wants to be loved” thing going for him.
He prays to be good like his brother Aron.
Abra: “I think I love you, Cal.”   Cal: “I’m not good.”   Abra: “Because you’re not good.”
He earns fifteen thousand dollars to make up for the money his dad lost in a failed business venture.
When his dad rejects the money, he burns it. All fifteen thousand dollars.
Eventually, he overcomes his mother being an evil sadistic harpy and becomes good.
James. Fucking. Dean.

Cindie and I started a new blog and you should follow it because admit it, you have swooned over a fictional character.
